The head is painted and designed for strength with a checkered pattern, giving it durability and superior hammer to nail contact. Colors available are: white, royal brown, black, antique ivory, classic cream, pearl gray, musket brown, bronze, wicker, clay, and grecian green.  The shank is a stout 1/4" diameter of stiff aluminum rod for tough nailing applications. Standard nail lengths of 7" and 8" will accommodate most any installation. See page 9 in our catalog. The key feature of this unique spike is the 2" of ringed threads added to the point end of the shank. "Pulling," so commonly associated with standard spikes, is virtually eliminated by the tremendous gripping and holding power of these threads.
