On July 27th, 2012 at 8:06 P.M., the founder of Lynch Aluminum, Dallas G Lynch, passed away at the age of 83 at Liberty Village Manor Court in Peoria, IL. Dallas graduated from Manual High School in 1946, was a Mason, and belonged to the Elks organization for many years. Dallas was a Peoria City Firefighter for 21 years, was promoted to the position of fire captain in 1967 and retired in 1976. He entered the seamless gutter industry around 1970 with his first gutter machine and quickly grew his company to include the manufacturing of components. In 1973, he incorporated Lynch Aluminum Mfg. Co. and continued to grow the manufacturing side of his business. In 1979, he ceased installations to focus on manufacturing and distribution. Growth and expansion continued through the 1980's, leading to his retirement in 1988. Today, Lynch Aluminum Mfg. Co. has become a major supplier to the seamless gutter industry and a legacy to a man who was able to see the third generation, his grandchildren, begin their careers with the company.
